ANNOTATION TO THE FIRST VOLUME:

This is the one of three companion volumes which concerns new Mathematical Chronology of ancient history. Together, these three volumes represent a major, unique work which is devoted to the deep analysis of ancient history and chronology. The accepted traditional chronology of ancient and medieval world rests on quite a snaky basis. For example, between different versions of the dating of such important event as the foundation of Rome, there exists a divergence 500 years long (T.Mommsen). It is not surprising that certain skeptical minds have made dramatic conclusions from above-mentioned difficulties: de Arcilla, I.Newton, J.Hardouin, R.Baldauf, E.Johnson, N.A.Morozov and others. The first volume concentrates mainly of the development of mathematical statistical tools and their applications to astronomical data: dating of ancient eclipses, dating of Almagest etc. For example, statistical and astronomical analysis of Ptolemy's Almagest proves that the date of the compiling of the star catalogue in the Almagest belongs to the time interval 600-1300 A.D. This fact contradicts the standard date of the creation of the Almagest: 2nd century A.D. How is it possible?
---------------------------------------------------

     ANNOTATION TO THE SECOND VOLUME:

The second volume concentrates on the analysis of ancient and medieval chronicles and records, such as Egyptian, Byzantine, Roman, Greek, Babylonian, European etc. An astonishing wealth of historical data is considered. The conclusions which are drawn concerning the accepted chronological dating of events in ancient history will certainly provoke controversy and serious debate. The author suggested a new version of ancient chronology which is dramatically different from the traditional one. For example, new short chronology place "ancient" Rome and Greece in medieval epoch of XI-XVI centuries A.D. The main result is as follows: the modern "textbook" of traditional ancient and medieval history is the fibred chronicle derived by gluing together the four practically identical replicas of the shorter chronicle.
-----------------------------------------------------

     ANNOTATION TO THE THIRD VOLUME:

The book presents the first serious attempt to systematize the considerable critical material about ancient and medieval chronology, and to analyze historical paradoxes in Scaliger's chronology from the standpoint of natural sciences, especially from the point of view of the empirico-statistical methods. The currently accepted chronology before the 13th century A.D. is in need of radical changes. Conjecture: we have to redate certain large blocks of ancient events which until now have been placed in "very ancient" times. After the deep analysis, one finds that the known written history of Europe, the Mediterranean, etc. becomes much shorter: most of the "ancient" events which are traditionally dated today earlier that the 10th century A.D. ("ancient" Rome, "ancient" Greece et cetera) turn out to be in the epoch from 11th century A.D. to 17th century A.D. Revising chronology in this way, one finds that many of the old paradoxes in traditional dating disappear.
